Sister Anne Catherine Tuition Scholarship

For Kearney Catholic High School Junior High Students

 

Purpose:  To memorialize the life of Sister Anne Catherine Boone by recognizing outstanding Kearney Catholic High School Junior High Student with a tuition assistance scholarship to acknowledge their accomplishments and leadership in the science and math curriculum. 

 

Overview: The Sister Anne Catherine Scholarship was established in February, 2007 by the family of Ben R. Homan in memorials in honor of Ben R. Homan.  An annual $500 tuition assistance scholarship will be awarded in Sister Anne Catherine’s name recognizing outstand Kearney Catholic High School students active in the Middle School’s math and science programs. The first scholarship is to be awarded for the 2007-2008 school year to a 6th, 7th, or 8th grad Kearney Catholic High School student.

 

Scholarship Criteria:

 

  1. The Sister Anne Catherine Tuition $500 Scholarship will be awarded annually to a Kearney Catholic 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student who excels in the math or science curriculum.
  2. The recipient must be a student in good standing enrolled at Kearney Catholic High School.
  3.  Interested students will complete the school’s standard tuition assistance application to become eligible for the scholarship.  Scholarship applications will be available annually March 1st.
  4.  Selection of the scholarship recipient will include consideration of the student’s math and science grade point average, leadership skills, school involvement, and community service.
  5. Scholarship proceeds will be paid directly to the recipient’s tuition expenses account at Kearney Catholic High School.
